As we approach Independence Day, 2023, there’s no shortage of festivities in the Wake Forest and Raleigh, North Carolina areas. With a mix of traditional and unique events, there’s something for everyone!
Wake Forest Fireworks Spectacular (July 3rd): Kick off your Independence Day celebrations a day early at Heritage High School in Wake Forest. Enjoy an evening of fun-filled activities, food trucks, and a grand fireworks display. Remember to bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a comfortable experience.
Raleigh’s 4th of July fireworks show (July 4th): As night falls, gather at Dix Park from 5 to 10pm for a breathtaking fireworks display that lights up the night sky. There will be a family activity zone, food trucks, and music all leading up to the big fireworks show! Admission is free.
Children’s Independence Day Parade (July 4th): The town of Wake Forest hosts a children’s parade every year in the historic district. Kids are encouraged to decorate their bikes, wagons, and scooters in patriotic colors. This is an adorable event you won’t want to miss!
4th of July Bash (July 4th): A great way to end your Independence day is with the 4th of July Bash at Oak City Brewing Company at 10pm. There will be food trucks, live music, cold beer, and of course a great view of the Knightdale fireworks show!
The Town of Apex’s Fireworks Frenzy (July 3rd): From 5 to 10pm on Monday, July 3rd, the town of Apex is hosting the Fireworks Frenzy, at Hunter Street Park. This is a completely free event..
Olde Fashioned Fourth Of July (July 4th): This long-standing tradition features inflatables, games for all ages, The Parade of Wheels, and even ends with a splash down from the Apex Fire Department! This is all taking place Downtown Apex from 9am to 1pm.
Art & More in the Park (July 4th): From 11am – 1 pm at the Wake Forest Community House/Holding Park you can find the Art & More in the Park celebration! Presented by the Wake Forest Woman’s Club, Art & More in the Park will allow children of all ages to have the opportunity to create varieties of interesting arts and crafts projects.
North Carolina Museum of History’s July 4th Celebration (July 4th): The Museum offers a day of family-friendly activities, including a naturalization ceremony for new citizens, a reading of the Declaration of Independence, and fun, historical demonstrations.
Patriotic Paddle on the Neuse River (July 4th): Get adventurous this Independence Day with a guided kayak tour along the Neuse River. Celebrate freedom in nature, spotting local wildlife and enjoying the serene scenery.
